Hope for another today
I pray; every night. But I do not pray to Jesus, or a patron saint, or to the virgin Mary. I don’t even pray to God itself. In fact, I don’t pray to any sort of god. I pray for a belief; a hope really, that when we die we spend an eternity reliving any and as many parts of our previous lives. Anything. You could go back, experience what you experienced when you were five, just fast forward to the moment, and relive it. You could even go into your head and think what you thought, hear what you spoke, feel what you felt, etc. But I don’t invest all of my spirituality into this aspiration because I fear my inevitable death or because I think I will miss life. Nope, I just want to receive retribution for this chickenshit memory of mine.
